Jake was pursuing a career as a professional golfer and
Won his first tournament at age 15. He went on to attend Florida State
University and then, following a waterskiing accident, was unable to
Compete in golf. He borrowed a guitar from a friend, taught himself how to
Play and soon after he was playing gigs with his band called Yee Haw
Junction. With only 9 credits left to graduate from FSU, Jake made a
Decision to move to Nashville and seriously pursue his career in music.
Owen’s talent soon drew the attention of Sony BMG Nashville executives
Who signed him with RCA Records in 2005. In 2006, he released
His debut single entitled “Yee Haw.” His first album, Startin’ with Me,
