Trace Adkins Takes On Role In Matthew McConaughey Film Trace Adkins has joined the cast of the Matthew McConaughey film The Lincoln Lawyer. The country singer will play the role of a biker gang leader in the drama about a lawyer who conducts business representing high-profile Beverly Hills clients from the back of his Lincoln car. Additional stars in the film include Oscar winner Marisa Tomei, Ryan Phillippe, John Leguizamo and William H. Macy. Said Adkins of the opportunity to act in the film: "[My role] is just a couple of [scenes]. I enjoy [acting] if I have time to do it. This is an easy thing to do. It takes literally three days out of my schedule. It's something that I can do and have fun doing." Adkins has previously appeared in the films An American Carol and Trailer Park of Terror. The film is scheduled to start filming in August, with a theatrical release slated for 2011.
